Volleyball Recap: Clare Takes a Loss

Clare managed to slip by Gladwin the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Pioneers lost 3-0 to the Flying G's on Wednesday.

While Clare was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Gladwin's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-21.

Clare's defeat ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 7-17. As for Gladwin, the victory snapped their losing streak at four matches and leaves them with a 6-15-1 record.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Clare is set to face off against their familiar foe Beaverton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Gladwin will square off against rival Meridian at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
