Basketball Recap: Valley Takes a Loss

Valley lost against South Webster back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Valley Indians were dealt an 80-52 defeat at the hands of the South Webster Jeeps. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-20.

South Webster's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Eli Roberts, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards Roberts has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Brycin McClintic, who went 6-for-8 on his way to 17 points and seven rebounds.

Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-9. As for South Webster, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Coming up, Valley will be taking part in a tournament against Paint Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for South Webster, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 58-39 win against Waverly on the 15th.
