Jensen Beach skates past St. Edward's with ease

Recap: Jensen Beach Falcons vs. St. Edward's Pirates

The Jensen Beach Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past St. Edward 70-37 on the road. That 33 points margin sets a new team best for Jensen Beach this season.

Cordell Wilkins was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Curry jr., who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.

Several Pirates players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cody Simmonds, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Gary Anderson, who scored six points.

The victory got Jensen Beach back to even at 10-10. As for St. Edward's, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-9.

Jensen Beach's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cardinal Newman at 2:30 p.m. on January 27th. One thing working in Cardinal Newman's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven contests. As for St. Edward's, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Sebastian River at 1:00 p.m.
