Baseball Recap: Tuckahoe Has No Trouble Against Blind Brook

Tuckahoe lost to Blind Brook back in May of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Tigers were the clear victors by a 14-7 margin over the Trojans. Considering the Tigers have won three matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Tuckahoe got a massive performance out of Vincent Justino, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Rocco Briante also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Tuckahoe kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Tuckahoe and bumps their season record up to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Blind Brook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Blind Brook has already played their next contest, an 11-1 defeat against Scarsdale on the 23rd. Hopefully Tuckahoe paid attention to the Trojans' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Trojans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
