Soccer Recap: Fletcher Wins Going Away Against Stanton

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mandarin, Fletcher was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Stanton Blue Devils onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. That two goal margin sets a new team best for the Senators this season.

Bradley Harter and Jake Slocum scored both of Fletcher's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Fletcher's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-6-2. As for Stanton, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Fletcher and First Coast will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Stanton will take on Wolfson in a holiday battle at at 7:20 p.m. on Monday. Wolfson knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully Stanton likes a good challenge.
