Basketball Recap: Warrensburg Takes a Loss

Warrensburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They took a blow against the Smith-Cotton Tigers, falling 65-35. Warrensburg was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Smith-Cotton apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Warrensburg's record now sits at 1-17. As for Smith-Cotton, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Warrensburg has already played their next contest (against Oak Grove), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Smith-Cotton, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 72-62 loss against Rock Bridge on the 10th.
