Basketball Recap: McKinney Christian Academy Takes a Loss

McKinney Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 69-35 loss at the hands of the Bishop Gorman Crusaders.

Amelia Meads went supernova for Bishop Gorman, going 8 of 17 en route to 19 points and six steals. That's the most steals Meads has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Mahfood, who posted ten points along with eight boards and six steals.

McKinney Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-19. As for Bishop Gorman, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Shelton the next time they take the court. McKinney Christian Academy will host Shelton on Friday, while Bishop Gorman will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
