Mahomet-Seymour dropped their record down to 11-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They fell 9-5 to the Taylorville Tornadoes. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Tornadoes since on Monday.

As for Taylorville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-4. While they didn't have the best season last year (they finished 14-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

For Taylorville's part, the team relied heavily on Jacob McWard, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI, one run, and one double. Baron Odam was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.
