Softball Recap: Sacred Heart Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Sacred Heart had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Concordia Panthers, falling 8-2. The Knights have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Sacred Heart saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Freeman, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Concordia's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Panthers beat Sacred Heart by a score of 10-2 later that day.
