Softball Recap: Green Level Gators vs. Green Hope Falcons
Green Level extended their losing streak to six on Wednesday, dropping them down to 7-12. They came up short against the Green Hope Falcons, falling 10-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-6 on April 7th.
Green Level saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stella Pepin, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
As for Green Hope, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.
On Green Hope's side, Rachael Baldyga made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits (and not a single walk). Baldyga has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Olivia Albidrez was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since April 6th. Ainsley Campbell was another key player, going 1-for-5 with four stolen bases and two runs.
As of now, neither Green Level nor Green Hope have any future games scheduled.
