Hillsborough and Immaculata are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Raiders will venture away from home to take on the Spartans at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. For Immaculata's part, Maddie Falvey made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Falvey has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caroline Duffey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Reagan Kenney was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Immaculata kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Immaculata and bumps their season record up to 4-8. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Hillsborough, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
