 The Belleview Christian Bruins will take on the Gilpin County Eagles at 1:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Belleview Christian has given up an average of 34.3  points per game this season, but Saturday's  game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Belleview Christian is headed into Saturday's   contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games  on Friday. They were  outmatched by Clear Creek and fell  49-0. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Colorado football rankings (they are ranked 68th, while the Golddiggers are ranked 17th).
Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Gilpin County, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  two weeks ago. They were the clear victors by  a  38-17 margin over Front Range Christian on Friday. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 21  points or more this season.
Belleview Christian better keep an eye on  Landon Church. He was instrumental in Gilpin County's win, rushing for 180 yards and three  scores while picking up 10.6 yards per carry, and also picking up 131 receiving yards and a pair of  touchdowns. Church's longest rush was for an incredible 90 yards.
 Gilpin County was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 232  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 205  rushing yards in five consecutive  matchups.
 Gilpin County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Church and  Ryan Marr.  Justin Johnson was another major factor on D,  forcing one fumble and making 15 total tackles (4.0 for loss).
 Gilpin County's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Belleview Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
 Belleview Christian might still be hurting after the  48-24 defeat they got from Gilpin County  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024.
