Delhi picks up fifth straight win on the road

Recap: Delhi Bears vs. Tensas Panthers

The Delhi Bears had already won ten in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.4 points), and they went ahead and made it 11 on Tuesday. They skirted past Tensas 59-57. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Delhi considering their two-point performance the matchup before.

Jimmy Spruill was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 21 points and 15 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Dural, who scored 13 points along with five steals.

Delhi pushed their record up to 19-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Tensas, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.

Delhi will be playing at home against Delta Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Delhi is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Delta Charter in Louisiana (Delhi is ranked 129th, while Delta Charter is ranked 370th). As for Tensas, they will head out on the road to square off against Delhi Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tensas has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 197 points over their last three games.
