If Palmetto Christian Academy were riding high off their 57-12 takedown of the Thomas Sumter Academy Generals last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Palmetto Christian Academy took a hard 64-47 fall against Orangeburg Prep on Friday. Palmetto Christian Academy has not had much luck with Orangeburg Prep recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Palmetto Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Blaise Sorensen, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sorensen has scored all season. Caden cadebeville@icloud.com was another key contributor, scoring seven points.

Palmetto Christian Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Orangeburg Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Palmetto Christian Academy will be playing at home against Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics is coming into the game with five straight losses on the road, meaning Palmetto Christian Academy will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Orangeburg Prep, they will square off against Thomas Sumter Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Orangeburg Prep is facing Thomas Sumter Academy at the right time seeing as Thomas Sumter Academy is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
