Volleyball Recap: Metcalfe County Takes a Loss

Metcalfe County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trinity Christian Academy Titans.

Metcalfe County's offense was headlined by Lily Horton and Mollie Devore, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from Ellie Landrum and her nine assists. Amelia Slinker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Metcalfe County's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Trinity Christian Academy, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Metcalfe County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Bishop Brossart on the 13th. As for Trinity Christian Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Holy Cross on the 13th.
