Baseball Recap: Shalom Christian Academy Finds Home Field Redemption Against West Shore Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Shalom Christian Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over West Shore Christian Academy on Monday.

Will Turner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five stolen bases and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Shands, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Shalom Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for West Shore Christian Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Coming up, Shalom Christian Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Conestoga Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Flames' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for West Shore Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Christian School of York at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Christian School of York's pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so West Shore Christian Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
