Cedaredge put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down the Meeker Cowboys 44-27. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 42-30 back in January.

Cedaredge had a senior duo take command as Carley Malinowski posted ten points in addition to six rebounds and three steals and Jessie Black had two points along with eight steals and five boards. Black is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last ten games she's played. Sammy Denison was another key player, putting up eight points.

Cedaredge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards every time they've taken the court this season.

Meeker lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rylee Sullivan, who scored six points in addition to ten boards and four steals. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Addie Knowles, who went 5-for-8 on her way to 12 points and seven boards.

Cedaredge's win was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-0. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points over those games. As for Meeker, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedaredge will face off against Roaring Fork at 6:00 p.m. on February 21st. Cedaredge's defense has only allowed 22.1 points per game this season, so Roaring Fork's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Meeker, they will challenge Olathe at 5:30 p.m. on February 21st.
