Basketball Recap: Evansville Bosse Falls Short of Evansville Central in the Playoffs

Evansville Bosse and Evansville Central squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Evansville Bosse had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 56-37 to the Evansville Central Bears. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Evansville Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daveon Smith, who shot 90% from the field to rack up 19 points and seven boards. That's the most points Smith has posted since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zaryen Moore, who had eight points and six steals.

Evansville Bosse's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Evansville Central, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-4.

Evansville Bosse does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Evansville Central, they will take on Boonville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
