Recap: Alonso Ravens vs. Plant Panthers
After soaring to 34 points the game before, The Alonso Ravens were a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were outmatched by Plant on the road and fell 42-6. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Alonso in their matchups with Plant: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Alonso still got an impressive performance from Joseph Glennon, who rushed for 58 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Waltez Clark was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 84 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries.
Another reason for the win was Plant's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for nine sacks. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
Alonso has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season. As for Plant, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Alonso will look to defend their home field on Friday against Brandon at 7:30 p.m. The last three games Brandon has played have been within five points, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Plant does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
