Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wyatt). They took their contest on Tuesday with ease, bagging an 84-56 win over the North Side Steers. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Chaparrals with their most commanding win of the season.
North Side lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Medhaneye Goitom, who posted 15 points and three steals. Goitom is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Darien Fantroy, who scored seven points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Wyatt's victory bumped their record up to 4-18. As for North Side, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-16.
Coincidentally, both will both be playing Paschal the next time they take the court. Wyatt will head out to face Paschal at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while North Side will host them at 8:00 p.m. on January 28th.
