Baseball Game Preview: Nashoba Regional Wolves vs. Marlborough Panthers

The Nashoba Regional Wolves will challenge the Marlborough Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Nashoba Regional has three straight wins, Marlborough has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Nashoba Regional proved they can win big on Monday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out Hudson 6-4.

The team relied heavily on Ben Lamson, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. Those two doubles gave him a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Marlborough didn't have quite enough to beat Algonquin Regional on Wednesday and fell 3-2.

Marlborough's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Nashoba Regional, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.

Nashoba Regional was able to grind out a solid win over Marlborough when the teams last played back in April, winning 5-1. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
