Soccer Recap: Eldorado vs. Canyon Springs
Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Eldorado couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Canyon Springs Pioneers by a score of 1-0 on Monday. The Firehawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pioneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.
Eldorado's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4-2. As for Canyon Springs, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-4-2.
Eldorado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Canyon Springs, they will head out to challenge Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Centennial is on a ten-game streak of home wins, Canyon Springs a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the pitch.
