Madison Prep Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 59 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-14 victory over the Southern Lab Kittens. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Madison Prep Academy's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Southern Lab is ranked 109th).

Madison Prep Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landon Johnson led the charge by picking up 90 receiving yards and two scores, while also rushing for 36 yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Dylan Reed, who threw for 167 yards and three TDs on only ten passes.

Madison Prep Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Victor Hollins, Jamyris Allen, and Rocco Duhon, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Madison Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Southern Lab, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
