Recap: Academy Charter vs. Farmingdale Dalers
Academy Charter's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight defeat. They took a serious blow against Farmingdale, falling 64-37. While losing is never fun, Academy Charter can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 760th, while Farmingdale is ranked 114th).
Academy Charter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jovani Dorismond, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joel Beard, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Academy Charter dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Farmingdale, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Academy Charter does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Farmingdale also has no future games currently scheduled.
