Softball Recap: Gallatin Comes Up Short

If Gallatin was riding high fresh off their 18-3 takedown of Grace Christian Academy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gallatin Green Wave came up short against the Austin Black Bears on Monday, falling 7-0. The Green Wave were not able to make up for their defeat to the Black Bears from their previous meeting back in March of 2022.

Gallatin's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Austin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-8-1 record this season.

Gallatin will be taking part in a tournament against University School of Jackson at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Gallatin is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.2 runs per game this season. As for Austin, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Spain Park at 4:30 p.m.
