Softball Recap: Good Hope Takes a Loss

Good Hope and Cordova squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Good Hope had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 3-2. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Raiders couldn't push the score so high this time.

Good Hope saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lizzy Steed, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Good Hope's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 25-13-1. As for Cordova, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 32-15 record this season.

Good Hope does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cordova, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 13-3 defeat against Wilson on the 7th.
