Preview: Jersey Shore Bulldogs vs. Brashear Bulls
After four games on the road, Jersey Shore is heading back home. They will take on The Brashear Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jersey Shore knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Brashear likes a good challenge.
Last Friday, Jersey Shore strolled past Montoursville with points to spare, taking the game 38-21. Given Jersey Shore's advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 62nd, while Montoursville is ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dathan Tyson had a dynamite game for Jersey Shore, picking up 231 receiving yards and three touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Jerrin Loomis, who threw for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Brashear's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Westinghouse at home and fell 52-14. Brashear was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-6.
Jersey Shore has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in seven of their first eight games, giving them a 7-0-1 record. Brashear has not been sharp this season, as they've lost six of their first eight matches, which leaves them at a 2-6 record this season.
