Hoover snaps three-game streak of wins on the road

Recap: Hoover Vikings vs. Jackson Polar Bears
It was a good run, but the Hoover Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They lost to Jackson on the road by a decisive 56-37 margin. Hoover was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Jackson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Hoover saw an underclassman step up: Hunter Hershberger scored 15 points. Another player making a difference was Crew Cain, who scored seven points.
Hoover's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4. As for Jackson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoover will take on Green at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Jackson, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake at 6:45 p.m. on Friday.
