Volleyball Game Preview: Sumner Spartans vs. South Kitsap Wolves + How To Watch

After both having extra time off, the Sumner Spartans and the South Kitsap Wolves will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.

Sumner came up short against Olympia on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-13, 25-10.

Meanwhile, South Kitsap lost 3-0 to Emerald Ridge on Tuesday.

South Kitsap was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Emerald Ridge work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-10, 25-16.

South Kitsap's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Sumner, their loss dropped their record down to 10-7.

Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Thursday's match: Sumner has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 8.8 aces per game. However, it's not like South Kitsap struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.

Sumner took their victory against South Kitsap in their previous matchup back in October by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
