League recap: Wray extends winning streak with victory over Holyoke

Wray extended the longest winning streak in 1A North Central this week by beating Holyoke, 27-6. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Eagles.

Resurrection Christian took down Highland 52-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Luke Mondt threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 10 yards in the win.

Cade Reinick was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 27 carries, he ran for 188 yards as Wray topped the Huskies. Teammate Alec Ellis added to the ground attack by rushing for 74 yards.

Lohr was the best wideout in the league this week as Resurrection Christian beat Highland. Lohr tallied seven receptions for 152 yards. Trent Buxman helped Resurrection Christian's passing attack out by catching five balls for 64 yards.

Carl Dennett made the biggest impact on defense this week as Levi Kramer's team topped the Dragons. The 5-foot-9 senior grabbed three sacks.

Rich Yonker's team's Mondt and Lohr have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 1A North Central in both passing and receiving yards. Mondt has thrown for 1960 yards this season, while Lohr, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 44 catches for 717 yards. Wiggins's Thayer Sauter leads the league in rushing yards with 1576.

In 139 carries Dan McCreery has accumulated 965 yard this year.

Yuma made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,195 from 12,302. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 13-6 victory over Las Animas last week.
