Baseball Recap: Cedar Falls Comes Up Short

Cedar Falls was the 9-6 winner over North Scott when they last played one another back in June of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Tigers fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 15-14 on Saturday. That's two games in a row now that the Tigers have lost by just one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Cedar Falls and nudges their season record down to 11-6. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for North Scott, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-11.

Cedar Falls has already played their next match (against Notre Dame), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for North Scott, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 7-4 victory against Don Bosco on the 14th.
