Softball Recap: Dwyer Panthers vs. Seminole Ridge Hawks
Dwyer's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Seminole Ridge Hawks, sneaking past 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Panthers have posted since April 1, 2024.

Haylee Taylor was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over 5.2 innings pitched. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 5-for-5. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
Taylor wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emma Jasperson, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. Ava Pratt also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Martin County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.17 runs per game on average), something Dwyer will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Seminole Ridge, they are taking a road trip to face off against Westminster Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Westminster Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so Seminole Ridge's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
