Recap: Chilton Pirates vs. Granger Lions
It was a good run, but The Chilton Pirates unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Granger by a score of 17-14. Chilton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Granger apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Among those leading the charge was Chase Edwards, who rushed for 204 yards while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also threw for 188 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas Youngblood also helped out with an impressive 89 receiving yards.
Chilton's loss dropped their record down to 7-1. As for Granger, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chilton will take on Iola at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Granger, they will be playing at home against Milano at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
