Baseball Recap: York Takes a Loss

York was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 7-4 to the Northwestern Trojans. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Lem Moss made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lukas Carroll, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

York's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Northwestern, they pushed their record up to 9-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

While York had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
