Soccer Recap: Hanford Comes Up Short

Hanford and Lewis & Clark squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hanford had to settle for second. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 5-0. Having soared to a lofty six goals in the game before, Hanford's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hanford's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Lewis & Clark, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-1-1 record this season.

Hanford and Lewis & Clark are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Falcons will head out to square off against Mead on Saturday. Hanford is facing Mead at the right time seeing as Mead are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lewis & Clark, they will square off against Chiawana at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chiawana's defense has only allowed 0.3 goals per game this season, so Lewis & Clark's offense will have their work cut out for them.
