Palma has gone 8-1-1 against Soledad recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Chieftains will take on the Aztecs at 4:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Palma's offense. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bellarmine College Prep on Wednesday. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Chieftains haven't been shut out since back in March.

Palma saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Carnazzo, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Soledad also failed to score in their most recent game. They came up short against Palma on Tuesday, falling 16-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Aztecs have suffered since March 25th.

Soledad has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season. As for Palma, their defeat ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 13-4.

Palma took their win against Soledad in their previous meeting on Tuesday by a conclusive 16-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chieftains since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
