Volleyball Recap: Hartford Comes Up Short

Hartford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the West Bend East Suns. The Orioles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Suns earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Hartford was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23.

Angela Busateri paced Hartford's offense, picking up four kills. Busateri got some help from Lydia Krasselt and her five assists.

Hartford's defeat dropped their record down to 8-17. As for West Bend East, with the victory, they broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 10-15.

Hartford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Whitefish Bay on the 30th. As for West Bend East, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Sheboygan South on the 30th.
