Volleyball Recap: Belchertown Orioles vs. Taconic Thunder
Belchertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Taconic Thunder, falling 3-0. The Orioles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunder apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.
Several Orioles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Layla Liminski, who had 15 kills, four aces, and a block. Liminski is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had seven or more in the last ten games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Vivian Ross, who had seven digs, two kills, and 27 assists.
Belchertown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Taconic, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.
As of now, neither Belchertown nor Taconic have any future games scheduled.
