Basketball Recap: Bob Hope Piles Up the Points Against Humble Christian

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Bob Hope on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Humble Christian Cougars out of the water with an 84-40 final score. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 39-17.

Humble Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Devin Simpson and Noah Vickers. Simpson posted 22 points, while Vickers almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards. Vickers' evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Bob Hope's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Humble Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bob Hope and West Hardin will compete for holiday cheer at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Humble Christian, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Faith Academy of Freestone at 4:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
