Basketball Recap: Stoutland's Higher State Rank on Full Display on Tuesday

Stoutland hadn't done well against Conway recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Stoutland Tigers walked away with a 76-69 win over the Conway Bears. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Bears are ranked 423rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stoutland is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.3 points per game. As for Conway, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Stoutland will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Skyline at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th. Conway also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Niangua at 12:00 p.m. on February 3rd.
