St. Joseph will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Gregory-Portland, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Flyers came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday.
St. Joseph had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-12.

St. Joseph can attribute much of their success to Syler Sullivan, who had 17 digs and two assists, and Haley Morris, who had eight digs and seven assists. That's the most assists Morris has posted over her last five contests.
Meanwhile, Saint Mary's Hall earned a 3-1 win over St. Joseph Academy on Tuesday.
Saint Mary's Hall was actually outscored in aggregate across those four sets (93-89), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 14-25, 25-22.
St. Joseph's record now sits at 38-11. As for Saint Mary's Hall, their record is now 24-5.
St. Joseph beat Saint Mary's Hall 3-1 in their previous meeting back in September. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was the Barons' Breanna Benavides, who had 35 digs and nine aces. Now that she's got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Flyers still be able to contain Benavides? There's only one way to find out.
