Softball Recap: Whittier Comes Up Short

Whittier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Downey Vikings, falling 15-5. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 7-2 to the Vikings when the teams met back in March of 2017, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Whittier's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Downey, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Whittier wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 12-0 loss against Downey on the 8th. As for Downey, they have also already played their next contest, a 12-2 win against Artesia on the 8th.
