Marianna's loss ends eight-game winning streak on the road

Recap: Marianna Bulldogs vs. Rutherford Rams
It was a good run, but the Marianna Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 64-55 to Rutherford. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Marianna has scored all season.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Erik Gammons, who scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikyan Harvey, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Marianna's defeat ended a eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-1. As for Rutherford, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Marianna won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Gadsden County at 1:30 p.m. on December 20th. Gadsden County is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. Rutherford will be home for the holidays to greet Wakulla at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
