Recap: Jefferson County North Chargers vs. Conway Springs Cardinals
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Jefferson County North Chargers can now relate to. They took a serious blow against the Cardinals on Saturday, falling 35-6. Jefferson County North's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
It was another big night for Brayden Kunz, who rushed for 300 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.1 yards per carry for Conway Springs. Kunz really tore up the turf during one magnificent 87-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathan Berntsen, who rushed for 92 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries.
Jefferson County North's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Conway Springs, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Jefferson County North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Conway Springs also has no future games currently scheduled.
