Baseball Recap: Wray Comes Up Short

Wray lost against Yuma two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Outlaws by a score of 5-4. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Wray saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gabe Kechter, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Wray's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Yuma, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wray will challenge Highland at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Huskies will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Yuma, they will take on Wiggins at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Outlaws surely won't give up without a fight.
