Basketball Game Preview: Finneytown Wildcats vs. Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS

The Finneytown Wildcats will take on the Madeira MUSTANGS/AMAZONS at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Finneytown took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They had just enough and edged Indian Hill out 42-40. The win was all the more spectacular given the Wildcats' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 534th, while the Braves are ranked 255th).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Madeira). They blew past Batavia 73-49 on Saturday. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the MUSTANGS/AMAZONS had established a 20 point advantage.

Madeira is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.4 points over those games. As for Finneytown, their victory bumped their record up to 6-12.
