Softball Recap: Gresham Takes a Loss

Gresham fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Lake Oswego on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lakers by a score of 6-5. The loss continues a trend for the Gophers in their meetings with the Lakers: they've now lost three in a row.

La Terra Foster-Frison was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Gresham's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lake Oswego, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gresham will head out to challenge Lakeridge at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Gophers are facing the Pacers at the right time seeing as the Pacers are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Lake Oswego, they will square off against Reynolds at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
