Basketball Recap: Mission Valley Skates Past Flint Hills Christian with Ease

Mission Valley came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat the Flint Hills Christian Warriors 65-31. With the Vikings ahead 38-12 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mission Valley to victory, but perhaps none more so than Porter Deters, who went 5 of 7 en route to 10 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Deters a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Davion Jones, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points.

The win got Mission Valley back to even at 1-1. As for Flint Hills Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Mission Valley will look to defend their home court on Friday against Blue Valley. As for Flint Hills Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sunrise Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 21, 2025.
