Gilroy hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Lynbrook Vikings a 1-0 shutout. Erik Munoz Diaz had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Mustangs.

Gilroy is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-0-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Lynbrook, they moved to 5-2 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Gilroy and Ann Sobrato will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on January 9, 2025.
