Football Recap: Flowing Wells Caballeros vs. Agua Fria Owls
Flowing Wells took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 41-0 win over the Agua Fria Owls at home. This was payback for the Caballeros, who suffered a 21-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Leading Flowing Wells to victory were Jayden Simmons and Tyler Friedenberg. Simmons rushed for 52 yards and three touchdowns, while Friedenberg rushed for 78 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. That's the most total yards Friedenberg has posted since back in August of 2023.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Flowing Wells was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 302 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 154 rushing yards in five consecutive games dating back to last season.
